2) The Hot Fill Process: 

The hot Fill process involves three major steps which are as below:

Step 1)  Product preparation: Before amalgamating the liquid with its constituents, the material is first subjected to a usual temperature range of 180 to 195 °F  or 82 to 90°C to remove any microorganisms or traces of bacteria.

Step 2) Sterilization of containers: The jars that the amalgam is to be filled into are constructed with heat-resistant materials such as PET or glass. To maintain sterility, the jars and the amalgam to be filled should be thoroughly cleaned.

  • UV Radiation
  • Steam Sterilisation
  • Sterile Air Blowing

Step 3) Filling and sealing: To fill a container, first, a hot liquid is poured in and sealed with sterilized lids to ensure the elimination of germs, while rapidly locking in the heat. Moreover, prevents any exposure to the external environment while retaining the product’s vacuum or tight seal.

Step 4) Rotating: Rotating the container after the product has been sealed is also known as inversion. This ensures that the inner side and upper side of the container, including the lid, will be placed in contact with the liquid steam during pasteurization. 

Step 5) Cool Quickly: Containers should then be chilled immediately after rotation using either water or air. During this stage, smoothing out the product, maintaining it intact, and safeguarding it from the ambient atmosphere is what you achieve. 

Step 6) Check and Package: Check jars that have been closed and cooled to the desired temperature for quality standards. Stick labels to the jars and get ready for the distribution of the jars.
